Brighton Hotels, B&B's Hostels & More...

Brighton & Hove together have a huge number of hotels, guest houses, hostels and other lodgings. These range from the backpackers end of the market suites in five-star accommodation of the very best. You can be pretty certain that there'll be accommodation somewhere in town to suit your pocket.

A word of caution, though, accommodation can get very scarce, particularly during the peak times in the summer and bank holidays, as well as during the annual Brighton festival.

The Top-of-the-Range Hotels

In Brighton, you'll find that the hotels of the best quality are also in the best locations, that means right by the pier & pavilion and these tend to charge the higher rates. If your pocket is deep and you have a penchant for luxury, you might look up the Queens Hotel, The Palace Hotel or the Royal Albion Hotel - and, as you will guess, these are all located in the very heart of the pier/pavilion region. Near to these is the Brighton Thistle Hotel – also very conveniently located for the tourist attractions. These won't come cheap but, what you can expect to pay will vary both upwards and downwards depending on both the season and the day you choose to visit.

Medium Range Hotels

Although the medium-range hotels are not quite so close to the centre of town, many are still located close to the pier and smack-bang on the sea front. These hotels represent by far the largest proportion of the hotel accommodation, offering both the standard and level of comfort which most visitors look for.

Guest Houses and Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

For many visitors, part of the attraction of a visit is to stay in a small, family-run guest house and Brighton can certainly offer plenty of these. For families, these can provide good-value facilities and a magement which will accommodate to suit their special needs. Most of these guest houses will be registered with the Tourist Office and can be booked via their centrally-located office or over the phone.

Low-Cost Accommodation

Brighton also has a couple of hostels for the backpacker community – the Baggies Backpackers and Brighton Backpackers Hostel.

Making sure you have a Bed for the Night!

Just to re-iterate - if you’re travelling during the summer months or over a busy holiday period, it’s pretty-essential to book your accommodation well in advance of your planned stay. It can be almost impossible to find a bed during these busy times!
