Eat, Drink and be Merry in Brighton

Brighton Cafe

No matter what time of the day, no matter what your taste is and no matter how deep your pocket, you're sure to find just what you're looking for in Brighton. With its vast range of restaurants, cafes, pubsa, bars and cafes, the town can truly cater for every taste.

Here's just some of the eateries which you must take a look at.

Shellfish Hut

As its name suggests, seafood is the theme here and the menu teams with the riches of the sea from near and far. The huge menu, however, does not mean huge prices and this is one of the most reasonable seafood tables you could wish to meet.

Red Veg

No it's not a throwback from the Soviet regime but just and excellent veggie restaurant which can serve you anything vegetable from a veggie burger to a veritable veggie feast. You'll find it along Grdner Street/North Lane.

Black Chapati

If its spicy quality you're after, try this excellent Indian resaurant. Said to be one of the best Indian resaurants in the south, it's a little more pricey than the run-of-the-mill restaurants but it's certainly not one of them, for this level of quality, you'll expect to pay for what you get.

La Capannina

Just along Madeira Place in Kemp Town, you'll find this pleasant Italian restaurant which serves up fantastic Italian cuisine at a price which belies the quality. It's great quality at a reasonable price. The choice in this lively atmosphere ranges from chicken and fish to pizza and pasta and it's all served with style and a smile!

Muang Tai

You can find this cozy Tai resaurant along St. James Street in Kemptown. It's the place to go for top-quality Tai dishes at prices which match the quality.

The Little Buddha

This is another great oriental restaurant but one with a difference in that you can bring your own wine to enjoy with your meal. This puts the choice back in your hands and removes the overhead of the house. You can enjoy a great meal out here without breaking the bank over the wine!

The Gingerman

If its fine French cuisine you're after, then get over to Norfolk Square in Hove where The Gingerman will provide this to your taste.

De Vere Grand

When you've travelled to the UK to sample English food, this is the place to visit. English tea is served between 3pm. and 6pm. every day when you can taste the delights of a cup of tea and a cucumber sandwich. There are cheaper ways of getting a snack in Brighton and Hove but none with the ambience of the de Vere Grand.

Loch Fyle

This establishment, on Western road, was was built by one of the same architects who built the Royal Pavilion and provides a really grand eating experience. It's ideally situated on the seafront and serves a great choice of seafood and expensive wines. It's not a stop for the light of purse but one for those who enjoy top quality food and can meet the bill afterwards!
